Edge to Edge Quilting

  • We offer edge-to-edge longarm services for all types and sizes of quilt. Whether you are looking for quilting services to finish off a crib quilt for a new baby or a queen size quilt, we offer a wide variety of patterns. From traditional loops and swirls to a more geometric pattern, we work with you to find the best fit for your quilt top pattern.

  • Check out our in-stock patterns at Design/Thread Choices to get started. If we don’t have what you are looking for in stock, there is a link to our favorite pantograph provider, Urban Elementz. Simply choose the design you want and we will add it to our collection to finish your quilt the way you want.

  • Pricing for edge-to-edge quilting does vary from .02 - .04 per square inch depending on the pattern. Some patterns are more open and simple, requiring less machine time while others are denser and more complicated. See below for examples of each type of pattern.

  • We have batting available for purchase or you can bring your own. We typically stock Hobbs 80/20 cotton/poly at all times, but perhaps you would like something different. Each type of batting has its pros and cons. See this article by Lee Heinrich if you are not sure. Thread and design choice are included at no extra cost. You may prefer to let us choose, but we will always confirm before we go forward.

  • Customer must bring quilt top and backing at a minimum. See requirements for backing fabric below. Note that if you require us to piece your backing fabric, there is a $10/seam. Most customers choose to do this themselves.

  • We also offer other services such as trimming, piecing backing fabric, piecing and attaching binding. There is an extra charge for these services.

Remember: Before you bring in your fabric, be sure your backing fabric is at least 4” larger than your quilt top on all sides. Ex: A 60” x 60” top needs to have backing at least 68” x 68”.

Schedule your consultation today! We are conveniently located in Smithfield, RI OR, if you prefer, we accept mail in quilts. See: Mail-ins for more info.
